Today, our Junior Infants had a very special visitor. Orla’s dad, who works as a Garda came to our class to share what the Gardaí do and brought along some tools of his trade for us to explore. He brought some of his Garda hats and his cycling helmet, which the children eagerly tried on while also exploring the handcuffs.
After that, we went outside to see his Garda car and got the opportunity to activate the siren, speak into the car's speaker and look through the speed gun. Thankfully there was no speeding detected in Ballinora today!
