A Special Visitor to Junior Infants!
We had a very exciting afternoon in Junior Infants as Conn's grandad Michael came to visit us! He told us all about life on the farm and showed us pictures of the cows, calves, and bulls. We learned where the cows are milked, where they eat, and even where they sleep.
Grandad Michael explained how the milk from the farm goes to the creamery. At the creamery, the milk is checked for quality and then processed to make products like butter, cheese, and yogurt before being sent to shops. It was great to hear how milk travels from the farm to our tables!
We also got to see pictures of some impressive farm machinery and learned what each one does. Since we're learning all about food and restaurants in school, this visit really helped us understand where our food comes from.
A huge thank you to Grandad Michael for taking time out from his busy farm to share his knowledge and experience with us! 🚜🐄🍎
Go raibh maith agat :)
