Slán!

The phrase 'slán' in Irish means 'safe' or 'healthy', but it is commonly used as a way to say 'goodbye'.  It’s a versatile term that can be used in a variety of expressions, such as:

Slán – A simple goodbye.
Slán go fóill – Goodbye for now (a casual way to say "see you later").
Slán abhaile – Safe home (wishing someone a safe journey home).
Slán agus go raibh maith agat - Goodbye and thank-you!

To enhance your farewell even further you could use the following:

Feicfidh mé thú amárach/níos deanaí - See you tomorrow / later.
Tóg go bog é - Take it easy.
Go n-éirí an bothar leat - A way of wishing someone good luck and success on their journey (an Irish blessing that translates to 'May the road rise to meet you'.)
Bíodh tráthnóna/deireadh seachtaine deas agat - Have a nice evening / weekend.
